In the midst of my continual existencial crisis, I re-learned many of the songs from this album last weekend. It was fun. Thanks to anyone who has ever given a fuck about this.
Patch Kit - Sleeping With Socks On
Check out a new song from Patch Kit, a new CT emo quartet fronted by Jess McDermott (The New & Very Welcome). Recommended if you like stuff like Rainer Maria, Lemuria, and Denali.
"Sleeping With Socks On" is from their debut EP "I Think I’m Going To Throw Up" coming soon from Broken World Media
Tyler’s doing this cool thing. Tyler misses tnvw. I misses tnvw.
Here’s a video from my last solo show where I fumble through a cover song appearing on a new personal series out this summer.
We’ve been quiet over at the PATCH KIT camp on account of the fact that I just moved back to Boston in December and just started a new job a week or two ago. Mike and Jim have been passing the time traveling to far off lands for work and for pleasure. Jared has been holding down the home base. For now, I will repost this video of our most recent show at Willimantic Records for anyone that missed it and cares. My new years resolution is to learn how to ROCK.
Our EP is still in the process of being mastered and should be finished soon. It is tentatively titled I THINK I AM GOING TO THROW UP and will be released on cassette sometime in the early spring. Get excited. Or not.
This past halloween, I vomited all over something that was very dear to me, resulting ultimately in its disposal. I’d like to take this moment to honor it. R.I.P THE PINK WIG.
Thanks to everyone who came out to our show last night. Especially the handsome crew. DOWNTOWN BOYS and LEAMERS were awesome! Here is a video of our song “sleeping with socks on”. Thanks to Dawn from Willimantic Records for capturing it. Enjoi.
So this happened. Thank you all for coming. Hopefully there will be more in the future. Stay hip. Now I need to take a fucking shower.
P.S. If you didn’t believe it then, you better believe it now. THE NEW & VERY WELCOME is officially fucking dead. Long live PATCH KIT! For all future updates, please consult these fine links:
HOLY FUCK. Okay, so this is a big deal to me. Today marks my first ever tnvw inspired fan tattoo submission! The piece includes lyrics to “song five” mended to include the date of a couple’s anniversary. Mind = blown. Thanks again Hillary!
Well, here it is. The last show in full, complete with broken bottles, squeaky voices, abbey’s artful cinematography, out of key sing-alongs and probably just enough peppermint schnapps. Thank you all again for making this night a blast.
Well, last night was incredible. Thank you to everyone who attended and all of the bands that played. It was nice to share a basement with some of my best friends and favorite bands to commemorate the end of an important chapter of my life.
That being said, I know that there were a handful of people that really wanted to be at the show and couldn’t. I am deeply sorry you had to miss it. The good news is a friend recorded the entire set on my old mini dv, so you can view that footage here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzmGx_Uy3oA
Thank you to evie for setting up the show and making this fucking fantastic cake! You are truly an angel and an oven wizard.

Well, I guess this is it. I’m not really sure what to say.
The new record has been posted to bandcamp for your listening and downloading (dis)pleasure: http://thenewandverywelcome.bandcamp.com/
Thanks again, for everything.
